BevMo!, a specialty beverage retailer which operates nearly 170 stores in the western United States, wanted to enhance the customer experience by expanding its buy online, pickup in-store offering. BevMo! needed a seamless solution for customers to order their favorite beverages from the BevMo! mobile app, and then easily collect in-store. With the 2018 holiday season fast approaching, BevMo! required a robust solution in place for the busiest season of the year to make shopping more convenient for their most loyal customers.
BevMo! partnered with PredictSpring to launch a unified mobile commerce solution for consumers and store associates complete with Buy Online, Pickup In-Store (BOPIS) functionality. Leveraging the PredictSpring platform, BevMo! was able to design two native apps built to meet the requirements of each audience.
The BevMo! mobile shopping app made it simple for customers to search local store inventory and make purchases for pick-up. Customers could also link their ClubBev! loyalty program to the app to collect loyalty points and redeem rewards.
The BevMo! store associate app delivered a central dashboard to track, manage and fulfill BOPIS orders in real-time, enabling store associates to pack and invoice an order often within an hour of the consumer placing it. An intuitive and visual interface accessed through an iPad gave store associates all the information required to quickly pick, pack and manage orders for customer collection. Associates could seamlessly notify customers to collect their orders with the tap of a button, and prompt customers to provide a digital signature upon collection of their beverages. HQ was empowered with complete control over the whole experience through a customer support portal to observe and react to store issues in real-time.
PredictSpring delivered two market-ready apps for consumers and store associates in six weeks. The success of the pilot prompted the rollout to all 170 stores.
